Software`s modular configuration considerably increases reliability because all parts operate as independent programs. If one module freezes, other modules go on running. For example if the `capture` component freezes, `watchdog` starts again it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching picture via a `playback` unit. The software does `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be initiated by activity, human face recognition, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on remote workstation via Web interface. The program performs synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple webcams at the same time. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected. |
