Program`s modular structure significantly increases reliability because all units act as autonomous programs. If one part freezes, other components continue working. For instance if the `capture` component fails, `watchdog` starts again it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture through a `playback` component. The software makes `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be initiated by movement, human face recognition, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance server as well as on remote station using Web interface. The program performs simultaneous video playback for event examination from many webcams simultaneously. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected. |
