Users see MPEG coded video and have full control of the software via net that surveillance pc can be run without screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Program`s modular configuration significantly improves reliability because all components proceed as independent programs. If one module stops working, other modules go on working. For instance if the `capture` unit freezes, `watchdog` restarts it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are watching video using a `playback` module. The program makes `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be turned on by motion, human face recognition, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance computer as well as on apart server through Web interface. The program makes synchronized video playback for event analysis from many webcams simultaneously. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected. |
