This is the reason for C.J.Newman to take their 120 year old brand from Cuba to Fuente factory in the Dominican Republic. There they use the finest tobacco for the filler and wrappers of this outstanding cigar. Varieties of cuesta-rey Cigars Mainly there are two varieties of cigars in the range, namely Cuesta-Ray Centerario and the Cuesta-Ray Centro Fino. Cuesta-Ray Centerario is produced using two different wrappers of Connecticut and Natural. Connecticut is for those who like a bit stronger cigar and the natural one for the ones who like the mild taste and flavor. These cigars come in nine sizes. The flavor is mild to medium. Cuesta-Ray Centro Fino is a cigar made with wrappers from Ecuador where the tobacco for the particular brand is grown from seeds brought from Sumatra. These are available in five sizes and the flavor again is mild to medium. For the wrappers of these cigars tobacco is grown from seeds got down from Sumatra. These seeds are left in specially prepared medium for germination. Once the plants appear they are transferred to the open plantations to be looked after until the harvesting is done. |
